Life in Pemba

Salama from Pemba. I pray and hope that everyone is doing really well. Thank you so much for your support and prayers, I cannot thank you enough. May God bless you and give you the deepest desires of your heart.

Another two weeks has gone, It’s been wonderful, but also stretchy and challenging. God is filling all of us so much with heavenly things but I feel so hungry for more of Him. Everyday, I find myself so small to do the things that He called me to do, I must have so much more of God, but God always provides and strengthen me in my weakness. In Him I feel secure, loved, happy and protected.

In the last two week I have been really busy, We are doing 24/7 prayer this week, three other staff and I are organizing it. I am so blessed and amazed how much God is doing to each student during this prayer week, there has been so many breakthrough in the school. Papa God is accelerating our growth in Him and inviting every student to come into deeper intimacy with Him. We are so excited.

I am so in love with our Maker, There is nothing else better than his extravagant Love. Everyday God keep revealing us more and more of what He did in the cross. A complete revelation of what Christ did in the cross – the simplicity of the Gospel - is the key for never ending joy, love and peace. What a God we have, who gave everything away for love. His name is Love, He is love.

I am so blessed this week, to see what God is doing with my girls (the student that are staying in my House). God is working so deeply in each of them, He is fulfilling their deep desires and taking them to lower place and deeper intimacy. It makes me smile just thinking about it, I can’t imagine and wait how much He is going to do in the rest of the school. There is such and excitement in my belly for them at the moment.

Miracles are present all the time here in Pemba, dead ears open, blind eyes open, crippled walk, but what pleases my heart the most to see the miracle of salvation. And also to see the Iris kids grow so much in the knowledge of the Lord, to see them so hungry for Jesus.

But the enemy is trying to rob what we have in Christ, there are witchcraft practiced just outside the base,. We is a battle field, please pray protection over our land. Here we can see the enemy attaching in various ways, but our God is so so so much greater. The victory is already ours :D, is at hand.

Now I am just going to share a bit about, how my days looks like in Pemba. I thought some of you might want to know.

We wake up a lot earlier in Pemba, the sun is our by 4:30. I usually wake up at 6 but recently been waking up at 5, so I get so spend more time just with Jesus:) . In most mornings, I work with the Mozambican laundry ladies. We worship and pray together, then we send them to the different houses to work. Every weekday apart form Friday, we have class from 9:00 to 13:00, where we worship lots, pray lots and learn lots about Jesus. Then after class there is often extra activities and extra ministries that I have to do. Fridays is a practical mission day, we don’t have class but we get to go out. Most Fridays I usually lead village outreach, where we go to the local village to share God’s love. We have seen God save so many lives, body healed, relationship restored.

Days in Pemba as a staff can be really busy and really vary from day to day. It’s hard to explain how my days in Pemba looks like.. but it’s something like that. I am so blessed to serve here and too see God move in such beautiful and powerful way. What an amazing Papa God we have.

Please pray for my health, I have been really health in most of the school which such a blessing :D, and I thank you all so much for praying for me. Please pray that I will stay healthy and use my time wisely. Also please pray for water, there is no water here at the moment, we can’t have showers, use the toilet at the moment. But the good news is that we have the latrine and the beach to swim swim at the beach :).

Ah, this weekend my colour group is going the bush for a weekend outreach. SO excited :D :D :D. Can’t wait to share the testimonies

Bless you all with heavenly love, joy and peace

Dira
